Hyundai Creta: Front Suspension System / Front Stabilizer Bar: Repair procedures

Removal
1.
Remove the front wheel and tire (A).
Tightening torque :
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)

2.
Separate the stabilizer link (B) from the front strut assembly (A) after loosening the nut.
Tightening torque :
98.1 ~ 117.7 N.m (10.0 ~ 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 ~ 86.8 lb-ft)

3.
Remove the tie rod end ball joint.

Rmove the split pin (A).
(2)
Loosen the nut (B).
(3)
Separate the ball joint (C) from the knuckle.
Tightening torque :
23.5 ~ 33.3 N.m (2.4 ~ 3.4 kgf.m, 17.4 ~ 24.6 lb-ft)

4.
Remove the lower arm (B) from the knuckle by loosening the mounting nut (A).
Tightening torque :
78.5 ~ 88.3 N.m (8.0 ~ 9.0 kgf.m, 57.9 ~ 65.1 lb-ft)

5.
Loosen the universal joint bolt (A) and then disconnect the universal joint assembly.
Tightening torque :
32.4 ~ 37.3 N.m (3.3 ~ 3.8 kgf.m, 23.9 ~ 27.5 lb-ft)

  
Lock the steering wheel in the straight ahead position to prevent the damage of the clock spring inner cable when you handle the steering wheel.
Do not reuse the bolt.
6.
Remove the rubber hanger (A).

7.
Remove the roll rod (A) by loosening mounting bolts.
Tightening torque :
107.9 ~ 127.5 N.m (11.0 ~ 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 ~ 94.0 lb-ft)

8.
Set the jack under the front sub frame for safety.

9.
Loosen the mounting bolts & nuts then remove the front sub frame.
Tightening torque
Mounting nut & bolt : 156.9 ~ 176.5 N.m (16.0 ~ 18.0 kgf.m, 115.7 ~ 130.2 lb-ft)
Sub frame bracket stay mounting bolts : 44.1 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.5 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 32.5 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

10.
Remove stabilizer bar (A) from the front sub frame by loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.
Tightening torque :
44.1 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.5 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 32.5 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

[RHD]

11.
Separate the stabilizer link.
Tightening torque :
98.0 ~ 117.6 N.m (10.0 ~ 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 ~ 86.7 lb-ft)

12.
Separate the stabilizer bar mounting bracket and bushing.

13.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Inspection
1.
Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.
2.
Check the front stabilizer bar for deformation.
3.
Check the front stabilizer link ball joint for damage.
