Hyundai Creta: Instrument cluster / Warning Messages (for Type B, if equipped)

Shift to "P" position (for smart key system and automatic transaxle)

This warning message is displayed if you try to turn off the engine without the shift lever in P (Park) position.

At this time, the Engine Start/Stop button turns to the ACC position (If you press the Engine Start/Stop button once more, it will turn to the ON position).

Low Key Battery (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if the battery of the smart key is discharged when the Engine Start/Stop button is in the OFF position.

Press start button while turning wheel (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if the steering wheel does not unlock normally when the Engine Start/Stop button is pressed.

Press the Engine Start/Stop button while turning the steering wheel right and left.

Steering wheel unlocked (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if the steering wheel does not lock when the Engine Start/Stop button is in the OFF position.

Check steering wheel lock system (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if the steering wheel does not lock normally when the Engine Start/Stop button is in the OFF position.

Press clutch pedal to start engine (for smart key system and manual transaxle)

This warning message is displayed if the Engine Start/Stop button is in the ACC position twice by pressing the button repeatedly without depressing the clutch pedal.

In order to start the vehicle, press the clutch pedal to start the engine

Press brake pedal to start engine (for smart key system and automatic transaxle)

This warning message is displayed if the Engine Start/Stop button changes to the ACC position twice by pressing the button repeatedly without depressing the brake pedal.

In order to start the vehicle, press the brake pedal to start the engine

Key not in vehicle (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if the smart key is not in the vehicle when you press the Engine Start/Stop button.

When attempting to start the vehicle, always have the smart key with you.

Key not detected (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if the smart key is not detected when you press the Engine Start/Stop button.

Press start button again (for smart key system)

This message is displayed if you were unable to start the vehicle when the Engine Start/Stop button was pressed.

If this occurs, attempt to start the engine by pressing the Engine Start/Stop button again.

If the warning message appears each time you press the Engine Start/Stop button, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealer.

Press “START” button with key (for smart key system)

This warning message is displayed if you press the Engine Start/Stop button while the warning message “Key not detected” is displayed.

At this time, the immobilizer indicator light will blink.

Check "BRAKE SWITCH" fuse (for smart key system and automatic transaxle)

• This warning message is displayed if the brake switch fuse is disconnected.
• If this message is displayed, replace the fuse with a new one before starting the vehicle. If that is not possible, you can start the engine by pressing the Engine Start/Stop button for 10 seconds in the ACC position.

Shift to "P" or "N" to start engine (for smart key system and automatic transaxle)

This warning message is displayed if you try to start the engine with the shift lever not in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position.

Door / Hood / Tailgate Open

This warning message is displayed indicating which door, or the hood, or the tailgate is open.

Align steering wheel

This warning message is displayed if you start the engine when the steering wheel is turned 90 degrees to the left or right.

In order to align the steering wheel, turn the wheel in the direction shown while the engine is running to straighten the steering wheel.

Steering wheel aligning is completed

If the steering wheel aligning is completed after "Align steering wheel" warning message is displayed, this message is displayed for 2 seconds.

Low tire pressure

Low tire pressure telltale will appear when one or more of your tires are under-inflated.

For more details, refer to "TPMS" in section 6.

Turn on "FUSE SWITCH"

• This warning message is displayed if the fuse switch under the steering wheel is OFF.
• If this message is displayed, turn the fuse switch on.

For more information, refer to "Fuses" in chapter 7.

Low Fuel

This warning message is displayed if the fuel tank is almost out of fuel.

When this message is displayed, the vehicle range is approximately 50 km.

When this message is displayed, the low fuel level warning light in the cluster will come on.

It is recommended to look for the nearest fueling station and refuel as soon as possible.
