Repair procedures

Removal
1.
Loosen the drive belt tension by loosening the adjusting bolt (A).
2.
Remove the alternator upper mounting bolt (B).
3.
Remove the alternator bracket (C).

Inspection
Check the belt tensioner for excessive foreign substances, crack, damage or sticking of pivot shaft. Replace if necessary.
Installation
1.
Install the alternator bracket (C).
Tightening torque :
19.6 ~ 26.5 N.m (2.0 ~ 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 ~ 19.5 lb-ft)
2.
Install the alternator upper mounting bolt (B) to the alternator temporarily.
3.
Adjust the drive belt tension by tightening the adjusting bolt (A). After adjusting tension, tighten the alternator mounting bolts.
