Repair procedures

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
|
| 2. |
Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assmbly - "Engine Cover")
|
| 3. |
Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")
|
| 4. |
Remove the engine wire harness connectors and wire harness clamps from
the intake manifold.

Feul injector connector (A).
|
| (2) |
Disconnect the oil control valve(OCV) connector (A) and alternator
connector (B).
|
| (3) |
Disconnect the air conditioning compressor connector (C).
|
| (4) |
Remove the ignition coil harness mounting bolts(D).
|
| (5) |
Disconnect the MAP sensor connector (F) and the knock sensor
bracket (E).
|
| (6) |
Disconnect the ETC (Electronic throttle control) connector (A)
|
| (7) |
Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) and the throttle body coolant
hoses (B).
|
|

Remove the engine wire harness connectors and wire harness clamps from
cylinder head and the intake manifold.
|
Tightening torque :
18.6 ~ 23.5 N.m (1.9 ~ 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 ~ 17.4 lb-ft)

When installing, replace with new gaskets.
|

|
When installing the intake manifold, tighten the Bolts
& nuts with pre-torque first and then tighten the Bolts
& nuts with specified torque in the sequence shown.

Remove the intake manifold assembly (A).
|
| 7. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
