Repair procedures

Removal
1.
Loosen the wheel nuts slightly. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
2.
Remove the rear wheel and tire (A).
Tightening torque :
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire.

3.
Remove the rear hub bearing assembly.
(Refer to Driveshatf and axle - "Rear Axle Assembly ")
4.
Remove the backing plate.
(Refer to Brake System - "Parking brake Assembly ")
5.
Remove the shock absorber from the torsion beam axle. [Both side]

6.
Pull the torsion beam axle in the direction of a down and then remove the coil spring (A).

7.
Set a jack for saftey.
8.
Loosen the mounting bolts (A) and then remove the torsion beam axle.
Tightening torque :
137.3 ~ 156.9 N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 ~ 115.7 lb-ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
