Hyundai Creta: Steering wheel / Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds.

2.	Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are placed in the straight ahead position.

3.	Loosen the torx bolts which are located on the both side of the steering wheel.

4.	Remove the DAB module then disconnect the clock spring connector (A).

Loosen the steering wheel lock bolt and then separate the steering wheel.

Tightening torque :

39.2 ~ 49.0 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.0 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 36.2 lb-ft)

•	Do not reuse the bolt.

6.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Disassembly

1.	Loosen the screw and then remove the lower cover.

2.	Disconnect the remote control connector.

3.	Loosen the screw and then remove the remote contorl switch.

4.	Reassembly in the reverse order of disassembly.
