Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")

2.	Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

3.	Disconnect the ignition coil connector (A) and breather hose (B).

4.	Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (A).

5.	Remove the ignition coil. (Refer to Engine Eletrical System - "Ignition Coil")

6.	Disconnect the Oil Control Valve (OCV) connector and then remove the OCV. (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "CVVT Oil Control Valve")

7.	Remove the cylinder head cover (A) with it`s gasket. Unfasten the cylinder head cover bolts in the sequence shown.

Installation

Install the cylinder head cover (A) with a new gasket.

•	Do not reuse the disassembled gasket.

Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts (A) with the order and steps.

Tightening torque :

1st step:

3.9 ~ 5.9 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 ~ 4.3 lb-ft)

2nd step:

7.8 ~ 9.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 7.2 lb-ft)

3.	Install the other parts in the reverse order of removal.
