Hyundai Creta: Front Suspension System / Front Lower Arm: Repair procedures

Remove the front wheel and tire (A).
|
Tightening torque :
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing
the front wheel & tire.
|

Remove the tie rod end ball joint.

Rmove the split pin (A).
|
| (3) |
Separate the ball joint from the knuckle.
|
Tightening torque :
23.5 ~ 33.3 N.m (2.4 ~ 3.4 kgf.m, 17.4 ~ 24.6 lb-ft)

Remove the lower arm (B) from the knuckle by loosening the mounting
nut (A).
|
Tightening torque :
78.5 ~ 88.3 N.m (8.0 ~ 9.0 kgf.m, 57.9 ~ 65.1 lb-ft)

Remove the front lower arm (A) and than loosen the bolts & nuts.
|
Tightening torque
Fornt : 117.7 ~ 137.3 N.m (12.0 ~ 14.0 kgf.m, 86.8 ~ 101.3 lb-ft)
Rear : 157.0 ~ 176.6 N.m (16.0 ~ 18.0 kgf.m, 115.7 ~ 130.1 lb-ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.

Check the lower arm for bending or breakage.
